I got a rare chinese paper money, which i found no detaild about it in the net. Im looking for help to get more details about it and price assesment. you can see it at: http://profile.imageshack.us/user/efrat/ kind regards, efrat
Not particularly rare - this note is printed in the year 27, which corresponds to roughly 1938 which is one of thoese Japanese puppet notes. http://aes.iupui.edu/rwise/countries/china_page_4.html#puppet There are examples of 1 and 100 yuan but looks like a 10 yuan is not there yet.
thats my problem... its looks like it is that period, but i can't find it in nine of the cataloges... do you have any ideas where can i look?
It is in this link: http://www.336688.net/jiagebiao/ShowArticle.asp?ArticleID=3668 1938年(民国27年) 10元 193×112 蓝 1800-2000
thanks! I wish i could read it... How do you know it is this one if there is no picture? can you assume why i couldn't find it in none of the cataloges? again- thanks for the hard work
I believe that it is a "real" Chinese note, not a Japanese occupation note. There is nothing remotely similar shown in the Japanese Numismatic Dealers Association catalog section on paper money, which pictures notes of the Central Bank of Manchukuo and the Bank of Taiwan as the only Chinese occupied territories notes.
this has already been answered in another thread: That is a j63 1938 10 Yuan note from Federal Reserve Bank of China (Peking Government) a JAPANESE PUPPET BANK issued during japanese occupation. Its worth about a few bucks in that condition I think...
