    Hi
So I have a couple coins Id like to submit to Cuds on coins but am having trouble. I can usually figure these things out but not this so far. They require the pics to be in a very specific format and even though they state things clearly, I have no idea HOW to go about doing what they want or what program/app I might need to use if its not something standard. Ive made a couple attempts but must not have done things correctly as ive had my pics rejected so far. Has anyone successfully submitted to Cuds on Coins and what did you have to use/do to the pics?
    Thanks for the help!!!

I read the website of cuds on coins about this. Seems like they have size restrictions but not a picture format. I'd assume they want JPEG though since it's not mentioned.

They are very specific about size and cropping though obverse and reverse in 800x800 then do it in 350x350 and close up of the cud area again in 350x350 with a little space for them to add arrows.
Also very specific on lighting and angles and focus and will reject if the pictures aren't good.

Other than that they want them submitted by email in a zip file or a folder.

Truth be told I have a couple I wanted to submit that aren't on there but saw all that work and likelihood it would be rejected because i suck at pictures and I didn't bother.

Me too. I have some cuds and at least one pre-cud to post but can't figure out how to format the pics to their satisfaction. Got frustrated and gave up.

    I looked at their site.
I've got one coin that they obviously don't have yet.
And I think(?) I can accomplish their image specifications.
    But I have some problems.

They say the images become theirs.
Sorry, my coin and my images.
I think have to give them permission to use them.

And I can't find the info about shipping.
    And image compression?
    I don't have that software.

And these are the things Im not sure about...Im not sure what 300x300, 800x800, etc means as well as the way they want them sent. I tried once, sizing the pics I THOUGHT how they wanted by jist going into my gallery and re sizing the pics. Attached them in the email nd got sent back a msg that just said how they want them but not what it was i DIDNT do. Basically ive tried doing what they want best i understand but was rejected. Twice. So im kinda stuck. Has anyone had SUCCESS?

I think they mean pixel count, 800 x 800 pixels, etc.
I've got Photoshop Elements so I can do things like that.
And maybe there's other s/w that can do the same.
    BUT
To make it look sharp you have to start with an even higher resolution.
That takes a good scanner or camera.
    I've got both.

So I can take decent pics with my phone, but then i need to get a program like that Photoshop Element you have? And that will allow me to size them that way? Will it format the pics the way they want them sent also? I tried sizing them like that with a phone app i downloaded but they werent accepted...ive heard more than 1 person say to hell with them because they are so difficult to deal with. I just wish theyd tell me this is right, but you did this wrong. Cuz im doing what theyre telling me to best i can nd am stuck on what im doing wrong....
