    Hey Everyone,

I am currently collecting quarters, Barber's in particular, and just had a question.
    - I don't have the equipment to scan the coin or I would have -

I purchased a Barber Quarter, which on the reverse I believe was repunched? The right side of the eagles body (wing, upper leg and tail feather are detached from the Shield )? Was the shield struck twice causing the gap (1 mm or so)? Hope to hear from someone. ROK

Sorry pal - without seeing what you are talking about, any guesses would be just that - guesses.[IMG]

It is frequently very tought to determine whether a particular coin has a mint error, or after-mint damage even in hand, so without even a picture . . .

    Thanks for the comment though...

I don't think it happen after it was minted. The gap is very smooth and level with the planchet itself, the gap looks like it just wasn't struck in that area, leaving a space between the eagles body and the shield? I was just hoping that some has seen this before on a Barber?
