I have a 1913 penny with a warrior on the one side and Georgivs V Dei Gra Britt: Omm: Rex Fidef: Ind:Imp written on the other side does anybody know what country this is from?
Welcome to the forum foxy10177. Check your local library for the Standard Catalog of World Coins by Krause & Mishler, 1901-present edition. OR, post pictures (preferably) or more detailed descriptions here. It's just about impossible to answer your inquiry without more information because: 1. In 1902 there were a large number of German States issuing their own coinage, and there were other countries also issuing "Mark" coins. 2. Russian coins in 1913 were denominated in kopeks and rubles, so there is no such thing as a "Russian penny".
I've always thought Britannia was a striking figure. She looks great on those old British pennies LINK (click here)
That is rather weird. You quoted a different post from the one that is first in this thread (?) The first one in the thread mentions nothing about a `Russian' penny, nor a `zwei mark'. Where did the one you quote come from? Ian
Foxy edited his/her after satootoko posted. Foxy's new edited post is completely different than his/her original one.
