Hello all, Yesterday I did some coin trades and I ended up getting this, but I can not find a single one of these online, please help! Please tell me information about it and the value of it, thanks! Please tell me information about it,thanks!
Two monarchs, King and Queen. Pictures a bit fuzzy for this old sod so the recognition factor goes out the window. Perhaps some of our European brethren will check in shortly........
Seems to be a medal that commemorates the coronation of (the UK's) King George and Queen Mary in 1911 ... Christian
Yes I'm aware of that but why are there none of this kind online, for 4 days I couldn't find a single one, is mine extremely rare, or what? Thanks
Four days is hardly enough time. I've been collecting medals for about 10 years, and sometimes I will have a medal on my "Watch List" for years before ever finding one. Chris
But the thing is there isn't any information on it or anything, there is nothing about this medallion, its almost as if the internet has never seen this coin, would you happen to know anything about this specific one?

The problem is that during a coronation there are official issues, but often everyone and his brother will also issue a medal.token, souvenir that little or nothing is ever mentioned about. They may be common or they may be very rare, but no one know or cares about them. During the US Bicentennial there were literally thousands of different items produced. Nowhere will you find a listing or catalog of them. You will find some cataloged, but there will be hundreds or thousands of others that aren't. If you google images George V coronation you will find dozens of different coronation medals, tokens and souvenirs
