    Hi All,
I picked these up recently. My son wanted them. I don't collect ancients, but these have picked my curiosity.
Any help on IDing these would be most appreciated. Plus, could someone suggest a few books on collecting ancients for beginners?
    Thx,
    Joe

I don't collect them, but the second coin looks like a Jewish coin, Lepton or Prutah I think. The first coin is going to be hard to be certain since half the coin is gone, but I would say first century AD Roman Imperial.

I think the first is Antioch.

Yes, the first is an issue of Antioch, but without the face of the bust and any inscriptions, it's impossible to narrow it further.
