    Hi,
I am a new collector, i just saw an add in the news paper which offers free Peace Dollars, all we have to pay is shiping and handeling, of $ 5.

    The number is *************
They accept only credit card for the payment. no check or money order.

Do u think it is safe to buy there.

    Add by American Historic Society.
    No addresses given.

Also Littleton coin company is giving Silver dollay for $9 do u think it is a good deal.

    Thanks for the help.
    Coin collector.

Howdy coincollector - Welcome to the Forum !!

I could be wrong - but I think maybe I recognize you ;)

Sorry - but I edited out the ph number in your post. If it is not a trustworthy deal - we don't want take a chance and spread it around.

But to your question - personally I would not trust this offer as it seems too good to be true. They are offering the coins at basically melt price so they are likely beat up cull coins that nobody could sell otherwise.

As for Littleton's offer - you can expect more of the same for that price - well circulated, common date coins. But if that's what you like - go for it.

A similar post was on the ebay forum not too long ago. This one was from an add in the newspaper insert "Parade". As I recall, the buyer was happy with what he got. But then again somebody else may not be happy with exactly the same thing.

Once you get that coin from littleton, there is no end to the coins they will send you, and you have to put up the hassle of sending them back, or pay ridiculously high prices for junk.

I recently bought 5 silver eagles for $6.95 each with no S&H from Littleton. Took the coins and ran!

Sure I get their constant mailings, but I'll play the game. I haven't received coins I have to return, so I am happy.
