Anyone know how to go about discovering errors on the new state quarters. Ie; procedures.???/ As with the morgans that I am familiar,,,,when you discover an error you can send your coin to leroy van allan to be assigned a proper vam designation. What is the proceedure for the new state quarters.

    Bigd,

If you are referring to varieties such as RPMs and Doubled Dies there are none on States Quarters due to the process they use during hubbing. If you are referring to things such as mechanical doubling, minor strike thrus, filled letters, or die cracks these minor errors usually do not bring a large premium (if any) over the coins regular numismatic value and they are such a spuratic/random occurance that they are not catagorizable like a hub doubled die or RPM, thus there is no where to "send them in".

However, if you find something extra ordinary you may want to send your coin to an orginazation such as CONECA (www.conecaonline.org) or somewhere similar.

    Hope this helps...
