My girlfriend asked me to ID this coin she's had for the past few years and I find that I am at odds with myself. I believe it to be a Spanish Milled Silver Dollar (1806 Charles IV), given some of the small details on the OBVERSE. However, the REVERSE is strange to me as it does not look like the regular REVERSE of the Milled Dollar. Can anyone shed any light on my issue?

You got the country and the ruler right, but the wrong denomination. This is either a 2, 4 or 8 maravedis from Spain. I'd have to know the size (preferably in millimeters) to know which it is.

By the way, the coin you posted is copper, and a Spanish milled dollar (8 reales) would have been silver.

I'd figure it was copper judging my the look.
Okay...so it's not a Milled Dollar...that puts my mind at rest. lol

    Thanks for the help!

I have several coins of this type. 8 maravedis 1814 (Ferdinandus VII the king) and 8 maravedis 1842 (Isabel II the Queen). I think that Your coin is 4 or 8 maravedis.
