Help needed identifying coin

    Looks to be Ottoman of some sort.

    It's a US Washington quarter, dated somewhere between 1932 & 1974. The other side (obverse) should display the actual date. Note that it is slightly larger than that slug next to it. :hilarious::confused::singing::cigar:;)

    Looks more "foot stool" than "ottoman". :eek::rolleyes:

    It's Ottoman, and minted in Egypt, that's what the arab text in your first photo says. That is about all one can say, unfortunately.

    Thanks. I might look at some of the coins of the Ottoman empire but that might take a while. Do you have any suggested sites? Huge thanks

    Your coin looks like it might be a mangir. Try searching the site for both "mangir" and "manghir." The first spelling is more common, but the second spelling seems to be used more frequently on this site.
