I'm gonna try and put a pic up of it but I'm new to the site and dont know completely how to use it yet but just in case i cant the coin is silver colored has the same thing on both sides, an anchor in the middle and 20 stars around the outside edge. Only symbol i could find close to it was from a button off of a U.S. Navy pea coat made by AHR CO. from WWI or something like that except it had 13 stars instead of 20 like this coin. Anything anyone knows would be great if you could help me out. I have searched everything i could possibly search on the web and cant find anything.
If I had to make a guess it is an old Navy Challenge "coin" of some kind. My first thought was a button until I read that it's the same on both sides. The anchor is a "kedge" or "navy" anchor meant to hold a ship in position by it's weight and not by snagging or gripping the bottom.
