Help me identify a seller/website that sold ancient Romans

So, there was a dealers website that I visited a couple of times when I was still new to ancient coins (circa 2011-2012). He sold Roman coins, mostly imperial with some republican, overall prices were a little on the high side I think. Saw a Cato denarius I liked and I emailed the seller about it. I never received a response. This and probably the prices made me lose interest in the site. The main page had the name of the site/store in blue cursive font I believe in large size letters. The background was a beige color I believe. Either the main page or another page on the site had the names of the Roman emperors and others as clickable links, which would take the user to a page with coins of that person. All of the names were arranged in a grid format, in little rectangles. The site layout looked like something from the early 2000s, which gave me the feeling that the site probably wasn't being maintained or looked after anymore, which might have explained the lack of response to my email. I can't remember how the other coin photos looked but I do know the Cato denarius was shot similarly to this Ptolemaic bronze from WW (it was researching a Ptolemaic bronze I have that caused me to stumble on this photo and remember the site):

Thought I had a lead recently when trying to find the site but it was a dead end. Does anyone here happen to know/remember a website like this that sold ancient Roman coins? Unfortunately I don't have any more details that I remember.

Hmm. The description rings a bell. I used the occasion to do some weeding of my old "ancient coins for sale" bookmarks. Sadly, most of the bookmarks led to shops no longer in business so perhaps the store you remember is one of them.

Of the sites still functioning, here are some which fit the "site layout like something from the early 2000s" although they might not fit the rest of the description. Perhaps the aesthetic of the site you're trying to find has changed over the years?

    Museum Surplus

AnythingAnywhere (scroll scroll scroll to get to the ancient coins)

    Akropolis Ancient Coins

    Edgar L. Owen

    Ye Olde Coin Co.

    York Coins

    Silbury Coins

    Classical Coins

    Fel Temp Coins

Warren Esty (@Valentinian) has a list of dealers, auction houses, and fixed price coin shops. I didn't look through the list but it is probably more thorough than my bookmarks.

I'm the owner of the "Fel Temp" site. Your description of the site sounds like mine, especially the "early 2000s" part. But I don't remember ever selling a Cato denarius, and I'm usually very prompt in responding to queries. If you did write me and did not get a response, then my apologies, I'm very sorry about that.

Technically, the site is still live, that is, any coins there not marked as "SOLD" are still for sale, but I've shifted most of the coins that I sell over to eBay now, and I've gotten pretty lazy about adding any new coins to it. With about 90% of my coin sales coming from eBay, it's just got too time consuming trying to maintain both the site and my eBay listings. Maybe some day I'll have enough time to do a complete makeover.

Maybe enlisting the help of the waybackmachine would help your search. Just for fun I looked at mine from 2003, complete with broken images and that ugly counter :yack:

Hope you find it. I was also thinking of Akropolis from your description.
