Help me grade a 1906 Indian Head

    I bought this raw penny for a song; I can't rate a coin to save my life, not even for a song. Can anyone give me their assessment?

    Agree with the rest. It is a nice F IHC.

    I would say F-15 on this one, a little more detail than F-12.

    Thanks so far. I don't think I will send this one for grading, it's just a nice coin from an interesting time. I will keep it in a zip lock though.

    I agree on F12, but tink it's been cleaned on the obverse.

    Probably has, looks to be some cleaning on it.

    It does look that tell tale pinkish hue of a cleaned copper , but it may be your white balance or lighting or more likely the reflection from the background color. If it is pink it wouldn't grade anyways . Still a nice coin .

    Save the postage it does look "cleaned". A much better one will come along soon...

    do they make clear capsules for indian head & wheat pennies??

    Yes - airtite holders work nicely for IHC's and wheat cents. I like the ring type.

    I am in the fine group as well. Nice original coin that spent some time working.
