Help me evaluate this 1922 Peace Dollar! Could this be a high relief Peace dollar??

    Nope. Regular 1922 Peace dollar, and harshly polished, unfortunately. Looks like it was in jewelry or somebody's pocket piece for a while. (It would make a pretty cool pocket piece, actually, now that the deed is done and it's already over-shiny.)

    Normal 1922 peace dollar that has been polished.

    Thanks didn't touch the 1922 and won't touch the 1925! Just thought by chance it was high relief!

    To my knowledge, no high-relief or proof issues of the 1922 were made at the San Francisco Mint. Besides, the coin has been brutally polished, as others have said.

    Today, I'd buy it for $12.53 + $1 = $13.53. Tomorrow, it depends on the spot price of silver.

    That clinches it. I had totally overlooked the "S" mintmark.
