Here is what I believe to be a AE-4 Judean Prutah but I can't be sure. Anyone have an idea? Thanks for looking Ben
It certainly looks like it could be a Judean prutah but I've never seen a design quite like it on the photos I've seen.It reminds me a bit of the Lituus/LIZ ones of Pontius Pilate but the obverse isn't right and the lituus has a bit different shape..see the pic below. It also doesn't match up with any of the Selucid bronzes I've looked at. It might remain a mystery unless someone else can come up with an ID.
