So I am thinking about doing a nice set of Braided hair cents. I have seen some really nice proof like examples recently and I would love to do a set. My question is would it be possible to do a date set of proof likes? Are there PL examples of every year? Thanks
Since PL examples are merely super early die state examples, I would say yes there are PLs of every date. Now, whether the TPGs agree is another matter. I'll check their sites and see if they have certified PLs. Personally, I don't care if they have or not. A PL is PL whether they say so or not, but others care so it will be nice to know.
Thanks for the insight. I don't really care about the PL designation on a slab, just the look of the coin.
