I'm having a hard time positively IDing this old worn coin. It looks like a 1795 Real, but I don't know if it's a 1/4 Real, 1/2 Real or what. It's probably too worn (and holed) to weigh it to mean anything.

I'm also unsure of the country. I don't think it's Mexico-Spanish Colony, because of the markings in the left on the reverse. It looks like ME, not the Mo from the Mexico City mint. Could it be Peru, Bolivia, Argentina? I looked and I can't tell for sure. I don't know much about these though so I was hoping someone could steer me in the right direction.

    Thanks! 1.JPG 2.JPG

That "ME" is a really compressed monogram of LIMAE, or Lima. Your coin is from Peru.

Great. Thank you. With this information I was able to find all I needed on this coin.
