It's appears to be some type of Buhhdist medal. The inscription appears to be in Chinese. There are no numbers or character for "year", and there does not appear to be a country name; all of which leads to the conclusion that it is an undated medal rather than a coin.
Thanks for the info. The only thing i can read on it is K24. I thought about popping it out of the bezel, but the only way would be to destroy the bezel, so i wanted to hold off.
