Help ID this 25C copper piece I found --- might be play money

    Found this metal detecting in NY.
    Theres no date or anything, it the only writing is the big 25 on the face.
    Is this play money?

    Nice one.

    That's exactly what it is.

    There's a now defunct Penny Arcade near me at Ontario Beach that used these.

    I was only thrown off because of the eagle and the 20 stars.
    Most arcade cash says what arcade its from and also has the words "not cash" or something like that.

    Thanks for the help Id'ing it.
    I figured it was play money.

    Some of the larger, corporate type arcades do, like the one at Coney Island, and the Chuck E Cheese, but smaller ones like the one I mentioned, buy them by the loads real cheap if they're not personalized.

    Might be worth something to the right person who collects these, and yes there is actually a small market for these. I ran into a guy with thousands of arcade tokens in his collection. Some personalized by the arcade, others were not.
