Very Nice. I don't know how to grade them. We (family) got one in change back in 1975. It was a 1908 S. Perhaps there is an expert here that I can learn from. Welcome to CT.
I'm far from an expert on this particular coin, but it looks like a low AU or high EF. There is substantial wear on the breast of the eagle, but overall it is very sharp and there is some luster.
It appears that there is better luster in the protected areas, so AU50ish is my guess. Grading from photos always is a guess, though.
Obverse very clean and detailed, a few nicks though and not sure what That dot is at the head ? if that,s part of the picture or the coin itself ? Reverse is a bit more worn, less luster and more worn, but always hard To give an accurate grade however based on the photos would go AU55.
With the darker lighting conditions in these picks, more problems are evident Especially in the nicks to the right of the "1905" on the reverse as well as The pitting under the eagles left wing, would still stay in the 50,s range
yes im aware of that big nicks after 1905 hehe, thanks anyway for your time, time to sleep now here in our country
