Help Grading This 1864 Bronze IHC

    nice coin with a solid return policy. I would have gone to 70% PCGS value if I had to have it ~$120?

    I see a lot of crud in the devices, as well as some potentially active corrosion developing on the reverse. I believe the pictures are masking some of these problems, so I'm glad you got sniped.

    rb and ms? there isnt a bit of red and i wouldnt bet any money on that being slabbed as ms either.

    It's obviously a circulated coin. MS++ ? No way.

    As Matt pointed out, it's 100% brown with zero red. RB ? No way.

    I suppose XF is a decent grade estimate, but it's spotty and cruddy. Not an attractive coin.

    The coin has full ribbon and diamonds, strong reverse shield, weak feather tips which is not unusual for this year, and it is hard to tell from the photos if there was much actual rub. In my opinion, the coin is at least AU58 and I can't tell if the reverse was plain old dirt (which does not damage the coin) or corrosion (which would be a problem and the coin would be net graded). Without the reverse issues, it might have gone MS62/MS63 BN.
