Hi there As more of an ancient than an US coins collector I don't know much about grading modern coins. But I came across two silver dollars, a Morgan (1921) and a Peace (1924), and just out of curiosity I would want to know about how they would be graded. They aren't in the high end and I didn't pay big dollars (euros actually) for them, so no worries, I won't be disapointed, whatever their grade is. Thanks for your input Q
PCGS Online Photograde is a great resource for grading US coins http://www.pcgs.com/photograde/ There is also a mobile phone app for the same content. Though as a word of warning: It takes a lot of space on the phone, as it stores all of the hi-res images on the phone.
Thanks guys for your answers, they narrow down the possibilities And I will try to egalize EagleEyez' eagle eyes by training on the PCGS online photograde Best Q
I disagree about the morgan, ms63 would be my grade with what appears to be a weak strike....Altho i dont see much luster to firmly back that up...Could be the lighting
The luster isn't present on all the coin, as for what percentage of the surface it represents, I couldn't say Q
