Hey everyone, sadly I'm forced to sell off my one and only valuable Lincoln and was wondering how it would grade. Based on prices from NumisMedia the price jumps pretty significantly from VF XF AU. I just want to make sure I don't under value my coin when I do sell. The purpose of the thread isn't to be an advertisement of sale but to help me asses the grade of the coin. Thankss -Zach :rolling:
In my mind, maybe XF since it has the rim damage, and probably once it has been cleaned. I think you should keep it and cut someone's grass for a bit to get the money that you would get from selling the coin. that's just me
My interpretation of the color is that it's original and that the coin would have EF details, but that rim ding severely affects the price level of the coin.
Yea maybe XF. And there is a big rim ding on it too it seems. I too would mow a lawn to save my collection
I say XF but nevertheless, I wish todays Lincolns looked like that. That design was a work of art IMHO and seeing one that close makes we want to break out the loupe and stare at my MS 63 1909 P no VDB. I'd mow lawns for days in the 90 degree heat we've been getting to keep that coin.
