can someone please help me grade my 1818 quarter and maby the browning # i picked it up at a coin show @2002 for $65 i believe it has a die crack from the T in states through the beak and ending at the left corner of the shield its a bad scan, no dark blotches on obv and not as dark what do you think thanks
I'd say VG, the lettering and the date are decent, some detail left in the eagle, but the other parts are obviously worn. Nice coin regardless!
I like it as a VG-10. The reverse is pushing F-12. I don't know the Browning number off hand, but I will try to check it tomorrow at work where there is a Browning book.
Ok, in English grading system that is a fair/F, which makes an American G/F (if you did split grading) and that would probably make it a VG-8.
