Hello everyone: I am not a collector of coins but I am posting here to appeal for your expertise. I'm hoping you kind folks can help me out... I'm looking for 1996 French Francs for a wedding ceremony that involves the symbolic giving of coins by the groom to the bride. I am having trouble locating them and was wondering if any of you can point me in the right direction? Your help is appreciated!!!!! CJ
Howdy CJ - Welcome to the Forum !! I checked a couple auction sites for you - but no francs of that date available right now. But you should be able to do a search for World Coin Dealers and come up with somebody that can help you. The coins are not uncommon nor are they expensive. There was more than one design for that year - but I assume you want the common one - a young girl walking. Beautiful design
