I came across this Indochine 1940 10 cents coins. I have no idea of the grade or value or even what to do with it. I am new to this and need some assistance. Thanks, Sandy
One of the pieces from that horde eh? I don't know much about Indochina coins however I think it may be silver. Wait for others to give feedback.
it's nickel, not silver. km#21.1, and my outdated (2006) krause lists it at $2 in xf, $8 unc. someone may have an updated value.
Yes one of the many pieces of coin. Thanks for the replies. I will put it in the I don't know what to do with it box. Sandy
Vietnam, Laos, & Cambodia were French Indo China. You have a very nice type example coin for that country. I believe the grade is "about uncirculated" between EF and UNC which is what others have said. It is not made of silver but it is a nice high grade example worth a couple dollars. The 1940 dated coins are made of Nickel. Your coin should be slightly attrracted to a magnet. Other dates of this type are made of coper-nickel and are not magnetic.
