Hello, My dad has lost a coin that was fairly sentimental to him and after searching the net for awhile, I was unable to locate it....hoping someone here can help. The coin had George Washington on the front and the presidential seal on the back. It was 'about' 25% larger and heftier than a silver dollar. Dad thinks the coin had between 1 and 2 ounces of silver - but that was the only real value of the coin, since it's not a legal tender coin. He purchased it about 20 years ago, so it's not a recent issue - he doesn't remember what he paid for it, but guesses about $20. If anyone has any ideas what this is - or even better - where I can find it, please let me know. I'd love to replace it for him. Thanks! B
What do you think about this: http://cgi.ebay.com/USA-PRESIDENT-G...QptZCoinsQ5fUSQ5fIndividualQQsalenotsupported
Thanks, Andrew! My dad didn't mention anything about the white house being on the back, but I sent him the link and left him a voice mail to check it out and see if we have a winner. Thanks, again! B
You're welcome. You can keep searching "Washington tokens" on ebay but that's the only one I found that came close to having the President's seal on the back. I hope it's the one.
