I'm inclined to say it's not authentic, but it's so hard from just an image. I can't condemn it out of hand.
Welcome to the neighborhood @Kristos ! FYI - Using the "Poll" is a feature that is totally optional. I have suggested numerous times that (OPTIONAL) be noted to no avail. Unfortunately, once you click on it, there is no going back. You must complete it. Chris
This one can be condemned out of hand. The style is wrong. It is a published fake, published in the IAPN BOC Vol 14, No. 2 in 1989 - example 14
I thought it looked a little too intricate. I like how someone put a cut mark on the obverse to make it look more real.
I once bought this coin, doubted it was a fake, then I returned back to the seller. A few weeks later I bought it again. Still not sure whether it's either way. Love that coin no matter.
If you were a forger and were going to make a counterfeit of a silver coin to fool collectors, why would you make it out of anything other than silver?
It weights what the "real" ones would have weighed 14 grams and also it is silver according to the test
