The Quarter I posted looks like the railroad affect. But got filled in. I was wondering if that also caused a rim type cud.
It's hard to tell for me as I haven't seen that many, but it does look like RR rim and the one spot looks like moved metal, so damage.

What happen when a die is slightly misaligned is it forces the metal to the weaker side, and forcing metal between the collar and the die face. This usually causes finned rims and then eventually undue pressure on the die face. Which causes a cud.
