Can you talk to your mom about your problems? It sucks about your brother. Hopefully its just a rebellious phase. I certainly had one. Try to look on the bright side, and remember, sometimes when your growing up things seem tougher than they are. You'll get through it. I know thats not very helpfull, anyway, I hope everything works out.

If your brother gets into your money, you may want to have your mom help you get a savings account at the bank.
If you're going to start selling things, you could use the account directly with paypal, and have all the payments automatically deposited into it.
Your bro would never be able to touch it.
    ;)

As was already stated, these problems will pass.
We all go through these types of things and look back, wondering how we got so upset about it.
Just remember, things happen for a reason.
All of these things could be shaping you for something in the future.

Something else that could help you keep things from your bro......
See if your mom will buy you a foot-locker, for the foot of your bed.
You could lock your skateboard stuff in it, coins, and many other things.

I hope some of that helps you out, kiddo.
Take care and good luck !
    ;)

Just hide it really well. Put ur money in some super weird place, like in a shoe or bed frame tubing. BTW how old is your brother?

I feel for you that's for sure. You never mentioned how old you are. That may be helpful here. Regardless, isn't there any relative that could hold your coins for you? How about a very close freind? Don't know if you live in a house but if you do, there are always great hiding places in and around a house. Also, not sure how big your coin collection is but if small enough, you could wrap most of it real, real well, in plastic, squeeze out as much air as possible and put in the back of your house freezer compartment of the refrigerator. If in school, you may want to find out if they have a counselor. If so discuss the possibilities of using the school safe or vault for your coins. They would not be accessable most of the time but you would still have them. It really sounds like your family has some problems and they are not your fault. Hopefully things will work out in time and you will someday look back at all this with disbelief.

Schools would not do that, too much liability.

Hang in there kiddo. Tough times don't last; tough people do! Jesus said, "This too shall pass". I know these are cliches but believe me when I tell you they are true. If you don't believe it now you will when you get older. Don't you have any friends or family you can confide in for some good advice and comfort?

Savannah, I think confiding in a good friend or an adult that you can trust is the best idea. There certainly should be a few that you know that you can go to in confidence. Talking to your school counselor would be a great start. I thought I had problems when I was younger but instead of talking to someone, like I should have, I joined in some illegal activities with what I thought were my friends. I dont know what your thoughts or plans are but please dont even think of going that route. Things will get better, remember...theres nothing wrong with asking for a little help now and again. Keep in touch here and let us know how things are going for you.

In her CoinTalk profile, it says she's 12.
But, her myspace page says she's 15 ??

    Here is the solution....

    50% sodium Hyperchlorite and 50% water..total volume 8 0z.
Load into a squirt gun and wait for him to rob the nest...

Unload said squirt gun (not in the eyes) but on skin as it will burn some what!
Upon his retreat, slap him in the rear with a ping pong paddle!

Tell him next time,it's not nice to steal little girls coin collection!!
