I am a new coin collector, just starting out. I have found 1920, 1934, 1937, 1941 thru 1944 dimes. I would like to know what the value of these coins may be. If you can assist me in this please respond.

    Thank you very much

    Commemorative coins

    Hello everyone,

I have acquired some commemorative coins. World II, US history, History of America, Edition 2000-Discovery of USA, Civil War. What would be the value of these coins?

    Thanks for the assistance

    Welcome Shead1!

As to the value of your coins, condition (grade) is the most important determination of value. You can search on-line for grading mercury dimes. A free evaluation site is
    http://www.numismedia.com/fmv/fmv.shtml.

No one could really give an a fair estimate of grade unless you post good photos here and everyone could estimate grade.
    Hope to see more soon.

    Hello and Thanks

Thank you for all the messages of invite.

I have found a 1930 Indian Head One Cent, the head is facing to the right. I have attached a pic. Maybe someone has some info on this piece. Hopefully the pic's came thru.

Is that the same coin in those two pics? The obverse is of a buffalo nickel 5 cent and reverse is of a lincoln wheat 1 cent. They are not the same coin, however the diameter of the nickel in the pic looks reduced. Maybe someone clipped the circumference down on the nickel and sandwitched it together with a Lincoln?

Regardless, that is an interesting coin, and looks more like a magician trick coin or something. Definitely not normal.

    That is a 'magician's coin'.

to show two different coins, I had one with a Mercury dime obverse and a wheat cent reverse.
Made outside the mint. Value? Just curosity, but on eBay? Priceless.

Hello, I am learning how to get the responses, so excuse my ignorance. I finally found them LOL.........yes this is only one coin.......there are no brush markes on the sides (scratches from a grinder) ..... so if I am understanding right this is not a real coin, just a magicians coin? Thanks
