Hello im new to this and trying to figure it out

    I just found a 2010 Oregon quarter that is missing a lote of hair detail.Can any one give me info on this???

    If you are talking about the Mt Hood quarter, I noticed that the ATB series have some obverses that are, at the very least, pretty bad at showing their devices well.

    Yes, typical for what I've seen for this one on the west coast. Same with the Grand Canyon ATB and a couple others. Seems really hard to find any with good detail. I think they lowered the relief for these. And sometimes they seem hazy at the design.

    Could it just be worn? The facial features look worn compared to the "Normal" Quarter.

    The hair is 100% normal, the mint changed the details of Washington's hair starting with the national park quarters, makes it look like it has less relief.

    Yep, the mint returned to the original 1932 portrait for the ATB's. Kinda cool, I like it better than the "Spaghetti Hair" on previous issues.
