My name is Corey, I am 22 years old, and I collect a few coins now and then. I recently found a New Hampshire state quarter, that has a full picture on the front and back, like it is supposed to; but it also has a stamp on the edge of both sides. On one side it has part of washingtons chin, mouth, and nose. Then on the reverse side it has part of the vermont tree and the inscription "freedom and unity" backwards. Has anyone seen a quarter like this before? I have searched and searched and cant find one. Does any one know what it is worth?
If the inscription is backwards its most likely been pressed against another coin to give the impression the coin was double struck. Since it is damage that resulted after the mint it is most likely only worth face value. And Welcome to the forum
