I found a lot of SILVER coins..... so right, im sorting through them... does anyone know anything about these Alabama Sesquicentennial? its like 5 coins booklet or pack. I'm going to upload some pix. And yes i'm planning to sell these coins as well but dont know when.

    Welcome to the neighborhood!

We would need better close-up photos. Try to take some photos from directly overhead rather than at an angle. Are they coins or medals? What is in the tubes?

Wow! It looks like you have quite a haul! The melt value alone of the US coins is about $1020, but a dealer wouldn't give you the full amount. He has to make a profit, too. I don't have any idea what the Canadian coins are worth, but I'm sure someone who knows will chime in.

As a rule, medals won't have a stated value struck in the design of the coin, like 50c or $1. At first, I thought they might be Alabama commems, but then it dawned on me that you said they were sesquicentennials. The 1921 Alabama commems were centennial half dollars.

I'm guessing you know little about the collecting aspect of coins, and I haven't heard anyone else say this yet so: 1st rule, always hold coins at the edges, never put fingerprints on the faces. Just thought I'd say since you want to sell them, the buyers will appreciate that. Nice new house find, and good luck with your sales! Oh, and don't clean them, they'll lose value.

The Alabama Sesquicentennial sets sell for around $20-$25 for each board.

Wouldn't it have been fun if the 17 in question were indeed '21 'Bama's. :)

I wouldn't do it. according to the prices on coinflation, the melt value is $2596.50 for the coins that you told us about in the rolls. Not including what you said you were still sorting. Keep in mind that just because the melt value is $2596.50, that doesn't mean that is what you will get. If you want to sell to that person, make a counteroffer of 2600 and see what they say. I wouldn't accept less than 2300, but I've never made a sale that big, so someone else might be more help.
