    It appears to be a type of Hibernia coinage, just from first glance.

    With the coin in hand can you make out the full legend?

    All I can see at the left of the picture is that someone whose name ends in "N" was the VIIIth of that name. The country at the right is unreadable.

    Hibernia, of course, is the Latin name of Ireland.

    Pictures of the other side of both coins would also be helpful.

    Hello

    First one is 8 maravedis, Spain, Ferdinand VII
    Second one is Ireland, but the size would help to say a farthing or so

    Yes,the second coin is an Irish Farthing.It is from the 1805-06 Soho Mint coinage.It is a very common coin.King Ferdinand VII of Spain ruled from 1808 until 1833,but he was in exile until 1814.
