Weighing just 1.59 g., this tiny coin has a Hebraic legend within wreath on reverse. The obverse seems also interesting. It's likely to be from Judaea, but I know little about these expensive coins. Hope someone may shed light. Thanks..

    Looks like a Prutah:

Correct. That's John Hyrcanus II of the Hasmonean Dynasty. Obverse or right photo shows crossed cornucopiae with pomegranate between them. The legend in the left photo is ancient Hebrew but in an unusual style of script. It reads: " Yehohonan the High Priest and the Community of the Jews". Hendin 479 v.

    I know nothing about these.

It looks similar to yours, @7Calbrey , but I cannot read the type...

Between Lepta and Prutah, or Maccabean and Hasmonean, Jewish revolts and war of Bar Koshba etc.. I think light needs to be shed on these events in the History of Judaea and the ruling Empires at those periods. BTW.. The OP coin was found together with a nearly similar coin which shows a palm tree on obverse. As for the reverse, it has legend in Greek or Latin not in Hebrew. It weighs 1.56 g.
