    Whats it worth?

I know I haven't weighed it but it'd be nice if you could gimme a rough estimate!

    Its a half sov?

Got given to me by my aunt when she passed away because of cancer.

The half sov would be worth approx £80. The mount and chain looks like it is probably 9ct (look for a 375 hallmark) and that would be worth about £7.50 per gram. (Simply weigh it and deduct the weight of the 1/2 sov (3.99g), and then add the value of the half-sov again to get the total value of the piece....

Its also worth pointing out that the gold price fluctuates throughout the day during business hours at the London Bullion Market, so this price will change every second between 9-5 GMT Monday-Friday.
The value of your chain will go up or down depending on how much gold is worth per troy ounce at that particular moment....

Ah gold, nothing quite feels so wonderfully weighty in your hand, you know what I'm talking about :)
