Hey guys. Today i bought about 15 clad proof wasshingtons for my new dansco. I notice on all of them (you can see this on any modern proof quarters like the atb quarters) that the bust of lincoln kind of loses its detail due to the cameo. U can make out his hair lines but not much. On a 1998 proof i bought, the hair is so clear you would think that each individual crevace between the hairs was carved out with some kind of micro dremmel. It looks the same way that the hair looks on a business strike atb/state quartrer. The cameo is fully there as well. Is this a special error sort of like the 1964 heavily accented hair kennedies? Anyone else notice this? Or is this just on all 98's and im being stupid..

  3. *Washington, not Lincoln. And no, there really isn't anything significant going on. Could you post pictures, just to confirm?

Haha ur right i totally meant washington. Im not a newbie or anything i was looking through my lincoln dansco right before typing this. And it takes forever for me to upload and resize photos. Just take any washington proof past 1970 and put it next tvo a standard business strike state quarter. The state quarter bust is what my proof bust looks like accept with the frosty cameo
