Two Morgans enter, which will win?
Guess the grade of each and feel free to share which one you like more.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

    1881: MS-64

    1886: MS-62

And without question, I like the 86 more. The reverse of the 81 has a darker, splotchy toning that I'm not a fan of, but the obverse of the 86 has a smooth, gorgeous rainbow transition.

I like obverse 1 paired with reverse of 2. Make it an 1881-P and call it a day. :woot:

#1 got a 'bump' for the toning. It's really a '65 in sheeps clothing..........

    1. 65, I like this coin better, even though it's super common.
    2. 63 for the facial chatter. Great strike!

    65 ( 65 + IF it was a newer slab )

63 ( not a fan of the deep scratches)

I like coin 1 due to the obverse and i like the reverse tone, even though its not as nice as coin 1 toning.

Both are MS 65 with CAC approval.
To me the NGC is an MS 66 while the PCGS is closer to MS 64 (likely got the extra point for color).

Just shows you can't trust the grade on the holder, or that silly CAC sticker.

That coin got a 2 point bump for the very attractive color. Dang, that's one of the biggest color bumps I've seen in a very long time.

I would call it a 1 point color bump. I've looked at many 63s and very few look like this (regardless of toning). The fields are also quite clean and I believe that (along with the color) helped.

I guess that's fair. The luster is quite strong, which also helped it.
