Hawaiian paper currency

Does any body out there collect Hawaiian currency?

i would, IF
1) i could find some

and
2) if i could ever afford it IF i found some lol

so, lacking the needed funds to buy them if i came across some, i dont do alot of active looking for them - but i sure would love some

 

i only have a $1 but its is pretty nice shape. wish i could afford some higher denominations

I thought the Op was talking about paper notes issued before the US conqured the islands?

there's also a few national notes issued from Honolulu Bank

 

I've seen those only once years ago in an auction. I wasn't into paper then so let it pass by. Now I wish I bid it! grrrrrrr :headbang:

 

Here are the first two Hawaiian bills I have. I'll post the next two on the next post. All my Hawaiian bills have been very circulated. They are more of a novelty item than a collectors item. But they're mine and I got 'em.

A friend of mine, just today, gave me a $1 Hawaiian note. Series 1935 A. Is this worth much? It's got a handwritten date and some typed notation and date on the obverse. Obviously circulated.
