I actually want to acquire the full set, to include the 1847 Cent, but the prices are somewhat steep. When I can get ones at a reasonable price, I'll get them but until then, I'll just look. :kewl: I think they will be a great investment if I can get them at a good price. ;)

The history surrounding them is interesting and not many peeps know much about them. :goofer:

I can kick my self..... about 2 months ago, my local coin shop acquired a 1883 quarter in XF condition. I found it in a box they had purchased and they didn't know about it. They wanted $90 but I thought that was too high for that condition, so I didn't buy it. The following month he sold it at his local auction for $150! He said that was one of the few Hawaiian coins he had ever seen. I should have negotiated when I had the chance. Although I don't collect them, I wouldn't mind owning one. Joe

I have two of the dimes, and two quarters.

I have never had a chance for the others, but they are far more expensive.

But I always look for them.

Quarters are you best bet, seeing that alot of them still survive.

I have a full set except for the pattern 5 and 12 1/2 cent pieces. I also have the 1847 Cent.
