i am interested have you ever seen this coin or heard about it. This is proof lewis, clark, drouillard one hundred dollars coin. Minted in 2003. The reverse depicts "the shawnee tribe coat of arms. The coin weighs 4 oz., is 2.5" in diameter and consists of .999 fine silver. Does anybody have it for sale and can you tell me an approximate value of this coin? Thanks!

You'll find similar items sold by the various Indian tribes all the time. Value is pretty much up in the air because it depends solely on those who collect them. Problem is, there are few who do.

They're like any other item issued by private mints.

Thank you very much for the reply! Can you give me any website where I will be able to find similar coins?

It's probably a Silver Strike. You might be able to get more information about it from the Silver Strikers Club. Their B/S/T is listed on the left as "Strike Point".

Yup, anyone can have medals minted. I have some counter-culture friends living in a remote area of northern CA. Their little community had these one ounce .999 silver rounds made and they quietly use them for commerce.

I bought a dozen or so at $12/ea when they first came out. Do you like the design?
