I tried a while ago but I could not make it work so I blew it off. Cool idea though, there are some real numismatic smarts around here and the contribution could be huge.

I have written some articles about coins but I havn't had them put on Wikipedia...
Can you give some detail on how you do it and what happens...do you still have the rights to it or do you give it to them??

Nope, never have Aidan. I started to edit a few once - but once I got to thinking about it I couldn't figure out where to start and where to stop

In some of my searches for info on Wikipedia I have run across links to some of the articles I have written - that was a big help

But it is a very valuable resource - seems like every time I visit the site I end up getting lost in there for hours ;)

If they made it more straight forward I think they would double their size in a month.

Anything you write for it is released under the GNU Free Document License. It is best to go there and read about that aspect for yourself but, basically, anyone can edit and reuse what you write for it anywhere they want with certain requirements that are outlined in the GNU FDL and on Wikipedia itself.

I like a number of aspects of the Wiki idea which should be obvious to anyone who has visited my site. ;) I have edited some articles on Wikipedi too. You have to go in with a certain mindset, though, and not be offended when what you submit is re-done or deleted. You also have to be respectful of other's work.

Nice article. Hopefully it will survive the request for deletion vote.

Stujoe,I've had a lot of good reviews about it though. It won't be deleted,as there is just too many people in favour of keeping it.That's not a bad thing at all.
