Has anyone used/seen the acrylic frame available on the BEP site?

I am not a true collector, but I do have an uncut sheet of $1 from the 80's. I have had it framed for years but noticed that the Bureau of Engraving and Printing sells a frame (link) that allows you to see both sides of the bills. I like the idea ... but the pic on the site is not good.

I'd like the sheet to be protected and I am not sure if the acrylic frame protects it from air and sunlight as well as a more standard frame with UV glass.

Has anyone seen one in person or use one themselves and have an opinion to share? Specifically I'd get the "32 Subject Acrylic Frame"

    Thanks for any guidance.

I own the BEP's "32 Subject Acrylic Frame". I switch out sheets displayed every 3-4 months. The acrylic frame is open on three sides (top, and edges) with a thin, grooved, wooden cap. The frame gives zero protection for sunlight, and is kept in an air conditioned room so the air is not a factor. If you keep the display frame and sheet in a sunny room, without changing out the sheet......it will eventually fade.

If I wanted to do this, I think I'd try some of the frameless "clip" gizmos available in art stores. You could sandwich the sheet between two pieces of UV glass, allowing it to be seen from either side.

SteveInTampa: Thanks for the first hand knowledge. I kind of thought that was how it would work.
