No. “Interior die break” (IDB) is what would be correct. The older name used was “die chip” and it referred to part of the die “chipping off” (or breaking off). The void in the damaged die allows extra metal to flow into the void during the strike resulting in the effect you see. It doesn’t have anything to do with boogers or bullets and I would seriously discount any source describing it as such. Cuds are die breaks that occur along the rim.
