Has anyone noticed that the P on the new 2017 Cents has a serif at the bottom? Is this the same P mint mark from the rest of 2017 coinage? or is it a special P mint mark punch used specifically for this year's Cents?
I just "whipped out" two absolutely new 2016 coins, a nickel, and a Harper's Ferry quarter. Both have the serif. The nickel is especially so. Also a Fort Moultrie. I too noticed the obviousness of the serif, but it's been that way for some time.
Michael, I've heard every episode of your podcast, including outtakes. Don'tcha think that ship kinda sailed?
By the way, in my opinion, you and Matt over-apologized in your "comeback" episode. You owe us nothing. We're glad for what we get. And IMHO, the quality is still all there. (I'm an episode behind, so if you went all sideways on the last one, I'll find out.)
