On facebook, Ooausacoin lists many scarce to rare U.S. coins that appear to be gem unc for ridiculous prices: $19.95 for an unc 1889-CC dollar, etc. These pieces have to be reproductions, but nowhere is this mentioned that I can tell. Have you heard of this outfit?

This doesn’t just look too good to be true . . . It is.

Don’t be a victim to greed.

This is 100% a scam. Don't buy from them.

Link gives me a privacy error (my workplace network is blocking it).

Even without seeing it, I say run! Far, far away from that!

Of course, they have plenty of positive feedback from people who are deliriously happy with their fakes. I think the pictures of the coins they post are pics of real coins in high grades except for the G-VG 1916-D dime for less than $20. I think you could check them out on the Facebook Marketplace.

It is likely that the feedback is fake. A lot of these websites try to make it feel like a reputable business, a lot of the time by making false feedback. Notice the sheer number of "positive" reviews, with seemingly zero negative ones.

Their photo of the 1889-CC was lifted from PCGS Coin facts; see link. It's PCGS MS64+. And anyone who thinks they can buy it for $19.95 ... well ... Even low grade details coins of this issue sell for hundreds of dollars.
