Thought maybe it was struck with a new un-polished die.?? The back is irrelevant.

All your comments are much appreciated. It's nice to share my finds with people who get what I'm talking about. My wife could care less. Lol

Very cool find!!! 1996-D is the most common one of this error type. It is tough to decipher a value on them. I say around $15-$30.

    Here is one I have.

Im with you Hunter. My wife humors me and says "oh thats nice honey" like suddenly Im 6 years old and she wants to take my penny and put it on the fridge with a magnet for me to be proud of. I stopped showing her most stuff. Good thing is when we get to the car and I take a moment to scan change before the keys go in and seatbelt on....she doesnt bitch anymore, she just patiently waits a few seconds for me.

What gets to her is when my niece calls and doesnt want to talk to her at all because she excited to tell me about some "find" she made.

"Its a Lincoln Thing"..... thats what I tell my wife and she gets it lol.

That's a very nice find! Something that is an actual error and out of the usual.
