I have heard of 90% silver dimes, quarters, and even half dollars dated 1965 but has anyone ever hear about 1964 clad dime and quarter errors?

    There are numerous 'Transitional' and
what I call "Reverse Transitional' errors
    for 1965 to 1966 coins.

Yes, a few exist as dimes and quarters. I've heard that 1964 dated silver coins were minted in 1965 and 1966, so maybe the wrong blanks were used for the striking of 1964 dated coins. Here is an article that mentions these errors:
    http://www.numismaticnews.net/article/more_to_clad_coinage_than_meets_the_eye
It says "Yes, clad coinage has its scarcities. There are error coins struck in the wrong metal. Dimes and quarters dated 1964 and struck in clad material are known, along with 1965 dimes and quarters struck in 90 -percent silver. A 1965 half dollar struck in 90 percent silver exists."
