I went to an estate auction today and ended up buying 46 rolls of wheats and I dont know why, I dont really like them. When going thru them I came across this, where's the 1 in 1939? I had to put a lot of light on the coin to get the faint outline of the 1 to show up. What do I have here ,any ideas? Thanks.

I think this one is a filled die error, when dirt/grease gets into the die. It's fairly common and carries no premium price. I'm no expert tho... you might want to post this one up in the error coins section if you want a second opinion.

    Bingo, it's worth a few $2-$4 bucks...

Haven't seen one like that before.
It's pretty neat-almost as neat as the 1922 (no D) coins. (in my opinoin)

I collect error coins and have several similar to that. Most of mine have the last number missing. I also have some with missing letters, both on the obverse and the reverse. True at coin shows they sell for about $3 to $10 depending on the condition, of course.
